From  Buckingham as the Masked Bandit

Buckingham loved Halloween.  He always spent a long time deciding on what he wanted to be.  Then he had fun deciding on the details of the costume — putting it together, putting it on and going out to Trick-or-Treat.  Buckingham could not wait.

This year Buckingham was a masked bandit.  He wore a man’s hat.  He had a black mask to cover his eyes.  He put on a black and white striped shirt and black pants.  He even had a cape.

He practiced his bandit joke:  What robber doesn’t take a bath?  A dirty crook!  And he thought a lot about the all the candy he would get.

Halloween finally came and Buckingham had a lot of fun.  He had a pillowcase in which he collected his candy, and he flung it over his should just like a real burglar sneaking off with the loot.  He went up to the houses, rang the doorbell, said Trick-or-Treat and told his bandit joke.  Then he would run off to the next house saying, “Ha ha.  You’ve just been struck by the masked bandit!”

When Buckingham got home, he sat down and sorted out his candy;  Lollipops in one section, candy bars in another, tootsie rolls had their place and so forth and so on.  Buckingham’s little brother did not have as much candy, because he was a younger bear and had not gone to as many houses.  He asked Buckingham if he could have some of his candy since Buckingham had so much.

Buckingham thought for a moment – “what would a real bandit do? “he wondered.

What would a real bandit do? Should Buckingham do it too?
